The development of a sustainable model home located on the edge of the lake is a collaboration between New York based, Lang Architecture and Texas based, Lake Flato. While the interior design was done by Memphis based interior designer, Sean Anderson. The sustainable lakeside home offers views of beautiful lakes and dense forests.
This sustainable building design is based on a classic dogtrot arrangement that focuses on maximizing views of the surrounding lake and forests. Architects optimize the use of glass windows to ensure a lot of natural light entering the room. While the interior designer chooses to use environmentally friendly furniture but still comfortable and eye catchy to decorate the interior of the house.
Main space of the lakeside house consists of living area, dining area and kitchen decorated with light colored wooden furniture. The living room is equipped with white upholstered sofa and black fireplace. Dining area showcases round table surrounded by wicker chairs. While the kitchen is done with wooden cabinets and touches of metal.
Home office offers views of the lake and equipped with a comfy sofa, retro desk and a wicker chair. The master bedroom is equipped with comfy bed and access to the balcony to enjoy the view of the lake. While the guest bedroom is done in graphite gray. In the outdoor area there is a kitchen and dining area for cooking and enjoying dinner while accompanied by a beautiful view of the lake at night.
