The house is located in Hawthorn, Victoria, Australia is the result of renovation and expansion. The house was completed in 2014 by a team of architects called Chan Architecture.
One of the challenges in making the expansion of this house is to unite the transition between the new residence and the old residence in order to look together. To make this house into a coherent whole, the architects team enter a black timber-lined box between the two areas, and this box contains a pair of bedrooms on both sides that can be accessed with the help of hidden doors.
The living room of this house is directly connected to the garden with openable stacker doors features that blur the boundaries between the yard and the house. By applying the windows in almost every room, greatly facilitate the sunlight into the house without a hitch.
The house is very comfortable and environmentally friendly because it uses materials that are safe for nature. Some materials used for this house is Blackbutt for the floors, linen for the curtains and plywood for the ceiling. Spacious living room can serve as a living room or dining room. With the addition of the beautiful yard makes this house looks comfortable.
